☆ Corporate CE Strategy – Prof Valentine has worked with leaders from over 60 companies worldwide on the development of CE strategies While at KPMG he created the vanguard online circular economy training program called Circular Advantage that he delivered to companies around Australia. He is author of Corporate Circular Economy Strategy, scheduled for release in 2024 through Cambridge University Press.
☆ CE Economic Development and Planning: Prof Valentine is an advisor to the Hume City Economic Development team and has provide central strategic advice in the development of a plan to make Hume (the city that hosts Melbourne`s international airport) a circular city. He has also provided advice, training and guidance in leadership and policymaking to government officials in over 20 nations around the world.
☆ Kyushu University – At Kyushu University, Prof Valentine leads two initiatives: Circular Itoshima – which aims to create a circular business network in Itoshima, Kyushu – and Revitalizing Kamikatsu, which aims to help improve the resilience of a small villages eco-innovation network.
☆ Authorship – Prof Valentine is a globally known sustainable development researcher. He is author of Wind Power Politics and Policies (Oxford University Press), Life in the Balance (Infinity) and co-author of the National Politics of Nuclear Power (Routledge) and Fact and Fiction in Global Energy Policy (Johns Hopkins University Press) and Empowering the Great Energy Transition (Columbia University Press). The latter two books were co-authored with Nobel laureate Marilyn Brown. He has also published more than 40 book chapters and journal articles and is on the editorial boards of the journals, AIMS Energy, Sustainability Science and CSR and Environmental Management.
